The Ocean Golf Course in Vale do Lobo is a sister course to the Royal. The name of this course is appropriately suggesting is enviable location. As an older golf course it had a strong influence in placing the Algarve as a destination in the golfing world. The fairways have a tendency to be narrow and accuracy is imperative when playing. The Ocean Golf Course holes wander through pine trees with wonderful views of the sea between the homes lining the sides of the fairways. Some of the holes take you along the cliff top with the blue Atlantic sea as the backdrop.

So good in many aspects, stylish, well crafted. Sadly twighlight players weren't provided food/drink cart facility at all on the day, not what I'd expect given the coure's reputation and pricing

Course and facilities were excellent, my only gripe was with the Buggies and staff responsible for them, 1 of our buggies broke down on the 7th hole so had to be towed by the other buggy, we messaged the clubhouse and had no response, we was towed to the 9th green, we went to the buggy park to exchange the buggy and explained that no one had responded to the message and they were quite rude, we finally got another buggy only to find the park brake did not work, after we completed the 18 holes we went to complain at the clubhouse to find no one was there and nobody at the golf reception either.
